Student Center や寮でもいろんなサービスがあり、スタッフも先生も親切で、充実した学生生活を過ごせた事を感謝しています。

I'm a 2004 alum, don't waste your time or money. I beg my own child to skip "higher education" but he's been brainwashed that it leads to a better life. Unless you are studying engineering or finance or maybe chemistry I'd advise just skip college. Waste of money and time. Did absolutely nothing for me.

Been here a year, and the financial aid department is garbage. They don’t reply back, even when they said to email them or submit documents to them. If they do reply, they do not answer your questions. They cannot answer any Veteran TAP or GI Bill questions that are supposed to be handled by them. Do better UB, this is unacceptable.

Isss messed up with easy OPT application. Causing unemployment and deportation.
World history professor does not respect Chinese history. The Analects of Confucius was NOT written by Confucius!!! Come on, all Middle School Kids know this in China….. speechless. Graduated with highest distinction with two bachelor degrees within 4.5 years. Most professors are good but you need to be wise to drop the class if it’s a stupid one. And How dare you asking me for donation and trying to put my current employment status on your website after your ISSS messed all those up?! Thanks god I had a couple of top Master program offers at that time. God bless your heart.

Campus feels pretty nice. Quiet a few good places to eat. Student activities are ok. Some professors are ok but most are bad and only care about their research. They don’t care about the students or their education at all. They chose horrible TA and who can’t teach at all. I once took a geology class with the worst TA possible and who was just out there to find fault and get students in trouble and fail students. His attitude was horrible. His name was PJ which stands for poor joke coz that’s what he was. Classrooms are decent. It’s either hit or miss with academic advisor. Some will help you and some will destroy you coz they don’t know what they are advising. Dorms are ok if you get the good ones if not then all the best. Campus bus are decent. Students cheat on exams and assignments all the time. Lots of politics going on with the campus. Libraries are good. Lots of places to hide and stay or hide and do stuff whichever you prefer. Campus safety is good. Cops are always on patrol so you feel safe.

This place is like a palace. Massive, I visit it there on a trip. It took me about 3 hours just to walk around the whole school. Also visit the inside as a visitor. Its a amazing university that offers many course. Lot of friendly people. Adviser will always help student even though their is a lot of student. Amazing Lab as well. Definitely a great place to go for a bright career.

Loved my college experience at UB. Quality academics, quality student life. There is great diversity which will help you with life after college. Food is good, not great, but what do you expect when you are cooking for the masses. Wish people cared more about the athletics. They have made north campus and the apartments surrounding it nice. The alumni base from what I can tell is Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, NYC, Chicago and DC. I also love the city of Buffalo. Downtown offers a lot to do for a mid size city.

I was sold onto this school because they had an earthquakes simulator machine (one of only a few in nation) they showed me at a tour claiming as a civil engineering student I’d eventually be able to use it. I finished my first year with about a 3.4 gpa and talked to the teacher/researcher in charge asking how I might be able to get involved. I was told that only a select few students work on it each year and that without near 4.0 gpa I realistically would not ever be considered for research on this machine. They sold me on this school claiming I’d use it and be able to simulate how earthquakes affect structures then a year into school I find out only a handful of students each year are accepted and get involved out of the crazy amount who try. A true shame. Not to mention about 50 percent to 2/3 of engineering students appeared to cheat on most assignments and tests which made me lose my scholarship of about 10k a year because as an honest person I couldn’t maintain a 3.0 with people posting tests to chegg and copying these answers during the test , and I couldn’t stoop low enough to get old test from TAs like many students did to use to cheat on exams. Keep in mind a lot of engineering classes were curved to a C average. I wish I could give a zero but this isn’t possible. Learned far more at a community college than here. Most professors give 95 percent of energy to their research and class/teaching is just an after thought here. I know a civil engineer who has a degree here who cheated on literally every assignment, exam, and project given to him. My tip would be if your willing to cheat to keep up go here for engineering as I’ve seen it work all the way to the degree too many times and if you are an honest person I’d personally avoid at all costs.
